Inviting entries for the Shamiana "Movie Banaao Contest"

Subject: The SHAMIANA Anniversary Contest

Hey guys!!
*Time* really flies and how! It's been over a year since we began the
journey and it's just gotten more exciting...
To celebrate our 1st Anniversary in June, we're announcing the SHAMIANA "*Movie
Banaao Contest*" in association with 1takemedia.com You could be an experienced short film maker or a total novice, this is *
YOUR* chance to go out and make your own movie !!!

The competition would involve one non-film maker from any profession
(Banking, Chef, Engineer, Architect etc.) joining hands with an experienced
short film-maker and the team would go on to make a short film btwn 3-5
mins.

*( The non-film makers can register themselves with SHAMIANA or on
1takemedia.com and write in 50 words why they want to make a movie. 20
shortlisted entries would go for a lucky draw and 8 of them would get a
chance to participate in the contest)

And the experienced short film makers can apply by sending their short films
and selected 20 would go in for a lucky draw. 8 would be selected and paired
with non-film makers.

This process will get over by 20th of May.
A few days later, we will announce the pairs.

*RULES OF THE GAME -*

1) Once finalised, you get 7 days to meet up, discuss stories etc.

2) We'll give you EVERYTHING you need to make this short - camera,
technicians, actors and a SHAMIANA volunteer to coordinate! You just need to
go and make your film!

3) Once everything 's finalised, EACH Team gets a date to shoot the film.
The WHOLE film wil have to be completed within 48 hrs. incl Post Prodn.

It's nothing short of a Carnival at SHAMIANA and we'd love to get all of you
involved in this!
So get ready to send in your entries and shoot your dream film this JUNE!!!
